Training and Support
Here at the Family Based Care Service we have an experienced team of Social Workers and staff who are available to support you each step of the way.
From the point of beginning your home study assessment you will have your own allocated social worker who will be your key point of contact throughout the process. All of our families are supported to develop a trauma informed approach to the care of their children and we will guide you through resources and training opportunities to develop your understanding of this.
Following completion of your home study assessment and during family finding we are able to offer additional training opportunities via our own training programme. We offer a variety of support opportunities for adopters both during their application process and as part of our post adoption support service. We recognise that adoption has a lifelong impact on those involved and as a result all children will have a post adoption support plan and support when and where it is required.
