What supports will I receive?
We offer a range of comprehensive support services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of short breaks carers, empowering you to provide the best possible care to the children and young people. We are here to provide the support, guidance and resources you need on this incredible journey.
Some of this includes:
- Regular Supervision with your allocated Supervising Social Worker
- Membership of the Fostering Network, including access to the Care First Emotional Support Line
- Out of Hours Service (SCET)
- Training Programme for Carers
- In some cases, specialized training may be required especially if the child has complex medical needs.
- Monthly Support Groups
- Buddy Support System
- Carer Consultative Forum
- Kids Carer's Cool Club
- Regular Group Activities
